O.o Past, present, future kids

For those who don’t know, I’d been working in a kindergarten for 3 months as a helper while waiting for university to start. Yes, it’s a weird intake (July); don’t ask me, ask IMU! Not I Miss U lah, International Medical University~ my friends love to make joke of it.

It was a pretty good experience, working with kids, I love kids! Yeap yeap yeap, I stalk them all the time and have a special folder of photos in my lappy specially dedicated to them XD No, I am not a pedophile ><

First few days was literally like world war 3, I was assigned to a 3 year old class – and man, all they did was playing a game called who-cries-the-loudest. Then I guess they don’t need me anymore, so I went to the 4 year old classes.

I realize all the kids a completely-360 degree-spoilt! And why do I say so? Let’s see

1# Branded school bags eg: Clumper, Nike

2# Branded shoes eg: Addidas, Guess, Crocs

3# Branded clothes eg: Burberry, Ralph Laurent wtf

4# Whole family teman a 3 / 4 year old kid to school

5# Treat adults like slaves/toys! (Maybe only me :S)

Anyways, I’m not complaining, just saying. At first I was like O.O but now it’s like “owhhhh..”

I clearly remember when I was in kindergarten my mom just throw me into the class with a first-day-school-survival-kit and there I go, I was a tough girl! :D Nah, just independent.

Hmm, I wonder how kids in the future are like. I would probably spoil my kids like nuts too :/ Have a plane named of them the moment their born? Ohh, cool! Imagine you looking in the sky singing ‘can we pretend the airplane in the night sky like shooting star…’ Ohhhh! Look at Jingyi (the airplane) in the sky! Hmm, I guess I should stop rambling and go to sleep now so that I can have a good dream ^^

Look our best in any given moment!

It’s like an endless trend; everyone wants that Estee Lauder-Commercial-Model-like-skin! At least I do. If genie really exists, that would be my very first wish. I’m serious, I really thought of that when I was young. Sigh, but when it comes to reality, I know I have to work hard for it, instead of blaming the non-existence of a Disney channel cartoon. *snap*

So yes, fair skin, or to make it sound more acceptable to everyone, healthy skin! First of all, be comfortable with the skin you have. I mean if you are rich enough to undergo plastic surgery and completely change your skin tone, good for you. Or else, just put in a little more effort to achieve that glowy healthy skin. Trust me, it’s not hard ;)

#1 Stay out of the sun!

I’d been a proud vampire for a couple of years now, okay maybe not entirely. I’m a huge fan of vampire diary ^^v I always try my best to stay away from that fire ball especially during the afternoon because if exposed for too long, it makes your skin burn, damage, blotchy and not to mention – susceptible to skin cancer (Thanks to all that CFC from your air conditioner!).

#2 Wear a cap

Get protected from the sun and fashionable. What better than killing two birds with one stone? Choose a wide-brimmed cap for better coverage. I love love love love love the caps from Ed Hardy!!!!!! *scream* I’ll get one of these sexy babies one day!

Gorgeous to the max *drool*

#3 Sun screen

If you’re not a cap parson, wear sunscreen whenever you’re out, either your ordinary sun block or facial products with uv protections such as face powder, foundation, bb cream, tinted moisturizer and bla, you name it. Don’t forget to reapply every 3-4 hours and don’t neglect areas such as your ears, backs of your neck, lips and fingers. They deserve to be protected too! :)

#4 Follow a good skin care regimen

Cleanse your skin regularly and gently with cleanser but not too often, cleansing your face too often makes your skin loses its natural moisture; I recommend max 3 times a day. I’m using Simple because I have crazy sensitive skin and Simple has nothing! I mean, no fragrance, no alcohol XD

#5 Water

Water hydrates your skin. When I said drink water, I really mean WATER; H2O! And not diet coke, orange juice, iced lemon ice or whatsoever. If you’ve always drank 2L of water then its fine to drink others. I know some people don’t like to drink water, lol but for the sake of a healthy skin, drink that water.

#6 Mask

This is a simple yet effective mask and also CHEAP. I’ve used it before my prom when I was in form5 for a whole month, every single day, and whoooooo my skin was so yummehh! No joke. All you need is plain white yogurt and cotton pads. You’re probably wondering why I’m not doing it now, ehehehe, because I’m lazy, and I know I shouldn’t be. Anyways, nobody cares whether I’m lazy or not, lets get started on that mask =)

-Cleanse your face

-Gently pad it with a clean towel to dry it

-Soak cotton pad into the yogurt

-Place the cotton pad on your face and repeat the process until you looked like you’re mummified!

-Leave it on for 20 mins and wash! Tada :)

Get some beauty sleep

Apart from Homer, aren't the others cute when they're sleeping? Well it is sorta related to what I'm blogging later, thou not utterly related.

Lose weight seems to be everyone’s number one New Year resolution. However, many dints know that these resolutions meet with little to no success. While lose weight when you are asleep, sounds like something you’d hear on a late night infomercial – just around the time you’re reaching for that packet of chips, well, Because you don’t sleep well! Cutting back on sleep is a behavior that is ubiquitous in modern society that appears to compromise efforts to lose fat through dieting as it reduces fat loss by 55 percent.

As wild as it sounds, substantial medical evidence long known some fascinating links between sleep and weight. How much you sleep and quite possibly the quality of your sleep may silently orchestrate a symphony of hormonal activity tied to your appetite. And also, hormones are affected by sleep.

Now isn't that wonderful? Lose weight when you're sleeping? Here are some explanations to make you cut down all those midnight activities..

#1

Sleeping late also changes a person’s metabolic rate which is the number of calories burnt when you rest and also affects your overall health. Because it interferes with the body’s ability to metabolize carbohydrates and causes high blood levels of glucose, which leads to higher insulin levels and greater body fat storage. When leptin hormones are driven down, your body will tend to crave for carbohydrates. That desire increased by a whopping 45%!

#2

Lack of sleep can cause release of additional cortisol (stress hormone) that stimulates hunger.

#3

Leptin and ghrelin work in a kind of “cheeks and balances” system to control feelings of hunger and fullness. Ghrelin stimulates appetite while leptin sends messages to the brain when you’re full. So what’s the connection to sleep? Inadequate sleep drives leptin levels down which means you don’t feel satisfied even when you’re full. And also, lack of sleep causes ghrelin to rise which means your appetite is stimulated.

#4

Higher ghrelin levels have been shown to reduce energy expenditure and promote retention of fat and increase hepatic glucose production to support the availability of fuel to glucose dependent tissue.

Logging in a few extra hours of sleep a week is not a bad idea at all! If you get at least 6 hours of sleep every day, you will find that you’re less likely to be hungry and your sudden craves for sugary food will reduce. You’re also less tired, and don’t need sweets to keep you awake. Translate? You consume fewer calories!

Let me sum it up for you

Lack of sleep + Ghrelin – Leptin x Overeating = Obese

(Not really obese, I meant to say gain weight) hehehe

Good night sleep –Ghrelin + Leptin + Money + Health = Awesome Beautiful Life
