Extra Virgil Olive Oil

Asian women often apply 10 to 20 beauty products on their face and body every day. Body butter, serum, toner, moisturizer, eye cream, anti aging cream and the list goes on. Imagine how much money you are staggering on these products not knowing if it’s giving you noticeable results. Have you ever look at the labels behind of your beauty products? Well I guess even you did, who will know what on earth is Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane? What it does to our skin?

Here is a simple product that does wonders to your entire body, from head to toe! You wouldn’t believe that you can easily get your hands on it because it is from your kitchen. Yup, EXTRA VIRGIN OLIVE OIL. I highly recommend EXTRA VIRGIN olive oil. It retains the highest nutrient values as it is least processed.

Olive oil contains antioxidant such as Vitamin A & E. It protects your skin against free radicals, posts pones aging, and repairs your cell membranes, leaves your skin looking brighter and maintains the elasticity of your skin.

It also contains squalene, a natural moisturizer that is normally extracted from sharks’ liver and it is also found in olives, more environmental friendly. Squalene regulates sebum, making your face less oily and radiant.

So now you know the benefits of olive oil for your skin, let’s see what you can do with olive oil.

You can apply olive oil directly on dry areas on your skin such as your elbow or knee. Sometimes when you find your bottle of body lotion not moisturizing enough, don’t just dump it and get a new one! Such a waste. Mix it with equal amount of olive oil on your palm and apply as usual. You will definitely find your skin more moisturized and healthy. I’ve been using this method for a month now, mixing it with my The Body Shop Vitamin E Body Butter and it works pretty well.

Besides body lotion, do you know that olive oil is a great make up remover? Olive oil is an organic compound and so does your make up. Organic compound dissolves organic compound. Notice that some of the makeup remover has 2 layers? The one on top is a layer of oil that enhances the removal of makeup especially waterproof makeup.

Applying olive oil on your hair and scalp before shower for 15 minutes and wash it off. It repairs dry, split ends and conditions your scalp to grow healthier hair. You can also apply a tiny amount of olive oil before using heat on your hair. This creates a barrier that protects your hair from damaging.

Mixing olive oil with sugar and honey makes a great exfoliator. Scrub your skin with this mixture until the sugar dissolves.

See, not only that you’re saving your money but you have better skin than ever! I know that extra virgin olive oil is not cheap but it is definitely cheaper than buying a ton of beauty products.
